Train Ride Projection Art Installation:

My train ride projection art series is a staple on @TheGirlWithADigitalDream. Here I create an immersive train carriage scene, complete with window views that depict the train as moving through various locations. I create these visuals with 3D animation and use a white block to film myself sitting in the scene.

Beyond what has been showcased on @TheGirlWithADigitalDream social media accounts, I have also imagined this project as an installation where audiences are fully immersed in a train ride set created by two identical boards facing each other, and the train projection. The boards feature a built-in bench, so visitors can actually sit in the train carriage and watch the world go by.

2022 Version:

The above iteration of my train ride installation is a rework of a similar project I created in 2022. This first version of the project had a greater focus on accurately recreating real-life locations in Sydney, Australia. I recreated Wynyard Tunnel and the Sydney Harbour Bridge as seen from travelling in both directions. The train ride project has undergone many aesthetic changes since this version, however a lot of the technical elements remain the same from this version. At the time, I called this project "Lightrail".
